I have to be honest with y'all, I just finished chapter one last night. And, of course now, all I want to do is read this book. I can already tell it is going to be the reshment and awakening this soul has longed for. A declaration that this life, and all I have been given, is more than enough. That He is enough.
With that said, I am a little at loss as to what to challenge us with. Typically by this point I'd already have the book read and be ready to give a good challenge. Our life is in a state of pending right now, I am surrounded by boxes, waiting for final papers and confirmation calls... and of course a baby who turns one is just two days. With that said, I am just beginning this book journey.
And I wonder how many are like me? Maybe you've already finished the book. Or maybe you've not had time to pick it up yet. But I wonder if we are still the same: caught up in the whirlwind.
I thought a good challenge would be to create a post (or if you don't have a blog you can put it all in the comments on this post) that makes you recall the past 24 hours. Stop. Pause. Breath in and out. And think: "What gifts have I been given that I never took the time to open, or to say thank you for, or to even notice are still sitting before me? What do those gifts look like? What do they offer? What is my response?"
Four steps of the challenge:1. Write your blog post (see above)
2. Also, if you'd like, please include some where in your post something about this Book Club. To help spread the word, direct them to this link: http://thekisers.blogspot.com/p/book-club_25.html.
3. After you've published it, comment here with a link to your page.
4. Check back in on the comments and check out other people's links to their blogs and give them some comment love.
See you in the comments!
