What you ask? A half marathon.
I've never been a runner. I'm not one of those people that hate exercise, I actually like it (or at least the idea of it). Something about the idea of going to run after a bad day has always sounded nice. The gasping for breath by the time you get to the end of the street was the reality that brought this dream to a halt each time.
I've literally said so many times, this is the year I will just do it. Suck it up and actually do it. Chris and I even had it in our note to the guests at our wedding in the wedding program of things we plan to do the first year of marriage together.
But this time it's different, I'm really going to do it. So on December 5, 2011 in Dallas, TX I will be running (or running / walking combo of some sort) in the White Rock Half Marathon. It actually looks like a blast because it even has live music all throughout the course.
So let's hear it all you runners, what is the best advice you could give when it comes to running in general or half marathons?
