Whether you know the Skaggs family or not, please take the time to read this blog post: "Miracle Ear."
This family has been like a family to both Chris and I. Emily and I met five years ago when we were both working in public relations and then we realized we both went to Houston's First. She quickly became a big sister to me and Joel a big brother. They have been mentors and good friends to us every step of our relationship. Chris and I often joke around with them that we are afraid that we will never be able to love our kids one day as much as we love theirs. Spend a second with either Sethie or Ella and you will know exactly what I am talking about.
Emily wrote an incredible blog testifying that God is still a God of miracles. I'm not going to tell you what happened because you need to read it for yourself. So if you have already go here.
But I will say that it so encouraged me to pray with more faith that the Lord can and will do the impossible. We believe that He is God and will glorify Himself in either reply. But we also know that the Word of God teaches us again and again to "ASK." I remember in college I looked up that greek word "ask." It was the word "aiteo" and it means "to ask, beg for, require, demand..." Basically when it says to pray in faith you are begging for it with full expectation that it will be given.
What in your life do you need to start asking for a miracle for?
Post it in my comments. I promise I'll start praying for it. And maybe just the simple act of posting it will give you faith that a miracle might come. I'll start first...
