My Favorite Blogs

I thought it would be fun to share what are some of my favorite blogs to read and why...

But this is an exchange program. I'll share my favorite blogs to read and why, if you promise to share your favorite blogs to read and why.

Deal? OK deal.

My most favorite blogs are...
Why? This truly is my favorite blog. Just ask my husband, I forward him the link every time. Mr. Hyatt was the CEO of Tommy Nelson publishers and still resides as Chairman of the Board and consultant. He is a true leader. He leads his family and he seeks out to lead others well. The reason why I say true leader is because he desires to replace himself. To teach others how to lead. Leadership isn't a power trip for him. It isn't a notch on the resume. It is about helping others take over where he is. So rare to find that in a leader these days. I believe that is why so many people are drawn to him. If you are in leadership in anyway or desire to be and do it well, sign up for his feed immediately.
Why? I just smile when I think of Jon. Do you like how we are on a first name basis? Jon is the writer of Stuff Christians Like book and blog (which are great on a day you have some extra time). His flawless combination of satire and truth is magical. I laugh. Sometimes I want to cry. And 99.9% of the time I leave challenged to do something, anything, to make my life mean more than it currently does. He just started blogging a few years ago and has totally changed his life. He now works for the Dave Ramsey team, has 2 best sellers under his belt, and a slew of other things. He is proof to me that anything is possible if you don't give up on your calling.
Why? To say that Ann Voskamp has won my heart forever wouldn't be close to accurate. Because she has won my respect, a much harder prize to win. She has the most beautiful way of writing things. Truly a modern day poet. Some might think her writing is verbose, I think it is the pause in my day that was missing. She makes me stop. Makes me think. Makes me linger. And makes me want to be a more intentional mom, wife and friend. And for that I am thankful.
Why? This is a combination of some of my very favorite preachers/teachers. I love it when people talk to you straight. No fluff. I don't need any more fluff in my life. I don't need any more "I think I can" mentalities. I want truth and I want it straight up. And these men never fail to serve it like that. (Side-note: I'd also highly recommend signing up for all of their podcasts. If you have to choose just one, Mark Driscoll is my favorite.)

Now it's your turn. What are you favorite blogs to read and why? Also, be sure to link to your blog just in case I don't have it (or so my readers can check you out too). Also, I think it would fun to know why you read blogs? What kind of blogs are you drawn to? I'll share my answer in the comments too (gotta be fair).
